Surrey Appoints Matt Dilger as Men’s Manager

International Surrey Football is pleased to announce that Matt Dilger has been appointed the role of Surrey men’s manager, replacing former manager Liam Parrington.

Matt has previously been involved with a number of clubs across Surrey, notably Dorking FC, Surrey’s oldest club until it merged into Dorking Wanderers FC in 2017 and most recently as a coach at Corinthian-Casuals FC, a club with an established international history and will this summer travel to Budapest, Hungary, to take part in the Egri Erbstein Tournament against 3 Hungarian sides.

Matt is our latest appointment in a flurry of new people becoming involved with International Surrey Football since our friendly against the Chagos Islands in late April. Our new expanded team will meet later this summer to discuss and plan our arrangements for the 2019-20 season with potentially 4-5 different teams on Surrey’s radar involving a number.

Cameron Bishop joins Surrey as Director of Men’s Football

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Bishop as Surrey’s first Director of Men’s Football, overseeing fixtures and future development of our county men’s team which debuted in 2018. The role created to mirror our women’s structure will allocate the responsibility of overseeing the future for our men’s team as we prepare for the 2019/20 season which is expected to see Surrey compete in the largest number of fixtures yet, including training fixtures against club sides, ConIFA opposition and more, with details of fixtures to be formalised after the club fixtures for next season have been confirmed.

Cameron has been an analyst for the last 3 years providing important statistics to professional players both in the top 5 European leagues and on the Fifa international stage. In addition helped market a football specialist coaching business to thrive into the UK and Europe after initial success in the US (Superior Striker).

Cameron’s appointment is the latest in a series of fresh appointments that demonstrate the recent growth of International Surrey Football with a number of new appointments in recent weeks. However, a number of vacancies still remaining including the Commercial Director that will oversee ticketing, marking and retail aspects.

ISF Launches Surrey Women’s Trials

We’re pleased to announce details of the first Surrey Women’s Open Trials to help identify players for the first International Surrey Women’s County team. The trials will be run by Surrey’s Director of Women’s Football, John O’Brien, alongside the Surrey Women’s coaching staff, Manager Stephen Satterly, Assistant Manager Leah Ambridge and Coach Mike Parsonson.

The open trials will be held at the St. Paul’s Sports Ground, home to SCEFL Premier side, Fisher Football Club, and former home to Women’s Championship side, Millwall Lionesses, on Sunday 26th May 2019 and will involve a 2 hour session from midday until 2PM.

The open trials mark the formal launch of the Surrey Women’s County team after previously announcing its coaching staff in late January 2019. Details of Surrey Women’s first game are yet to be determined and will be announced once available.

Players interested in taking part in the trials should contact, John O’Brien, at womensfootball@intsurreyfootball.co.uk to sign up and for more details

Nathaniel Holland joins Surrey as Content Manager

We’re pleased to welcome Nathaniel Holland into a formal role as part of International Surrey Football, serving as our new content manager, gathering content to be published on our social media channels, website and future match day programmes, including both written and photographic content.

Nathaniel has been involved with Surrey on an informal basis in recent months and served as match photographer at our away friendly against the Army, as well as providing live twitter updates and other assistance at Sunday’s friendly against the Chagos Islands.

Nathaniel is the first of many appointments that will be made this summer before Surrey announces its next home friendly.
