Matt Dilger Steps Down as Surrey Men’s Manager

Matt Dilger, appointed Surrey manager in 2019 and oversaw the team in our most recent game against the Chagos Islands in December 2019, will be stepping down as Surrey’s senior men’s manager with immediate effect.

Matt Dilger was supposed to manage Surrey men in their May 2020 fixtures involving 2 friendlies, including our Hampshire XI charity match and the inaugural Southern Frontier Cup, unfortunately, COVID-19 forced the postponement of all fixtures, now in the process of rescheduling for 2021.

Speaking of the resignation Surrey President, Danny Clarke, said “We’ve accepted Matt’s resignation, and we thank him for his help in our most recent game and hoped he’d been able to manage more fixtures, but circumstances haven’t allowed that. We have no men’s games scheduled for the near future meaning the role will remain vacant for the time being.”

Detail regarding the appointment of Surrey’s next men’s manager will be announced when available.
